Kind of a weird time to be growing a successful guild. For all practical purposes, were looking at a gear wipe on 11/14/08. I believe Fanta needs to decide what the maximum number of people in the guild should be, and cap it at that. In the meantime, we can recruit up to that level by application or whatever is decided. Of course, exceptional players would have to be given a serious look.
Currently, we have enough members and participation to start a formal structure of leadership. Bi-weekly officer/GL meetings could start to take place and then we could really concrete some plans for the future. If we can get this straight right now, before we become too large, it's going to make things go a lot smoother in the future.
I can't stress enough how important I think it is that we start a core, fundamental group of leadership in the guild so that our growth is handled wisely and drama free.
I know Fanta had asked for an assistant to help with several things, such as reviewig recruits etc...I think this is a great first step, I'd like to see more officer participation on applicant selection though.
